Workshop/Event Description

Research shows that beliefs shape not only how we see the world but drive the choices we make. In this workshop, participants will explore how a character’s beliefs about themselves, others, and the world can create authentic motivations, internal/external conflict, and a satisfying resolution to the story.

Prompts will be provided to help writers identify the beliefs driving their characters' actions, uncover the experiences that formed those beliefs, and challenge them to create conflict and growth. Writers may also uncover how their own beliefs shape their writing outcomes.
