Join us Wednesday, September 14th at 1pm for Wise Words - 65 is the New Writer, with Lenore Rowntree. This session is part of our Wise Words Program. A unique writing and communication initiative for Seniors in all corners of our lovely province. This program is Funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program.
For the older writer who wants to take writing to the next level whether that be publication, performance, open mic, or simply getting the nerve up to share with friends and family. The focus will be on some of the subtle aspects of mindset and intention that can block success for a writer, especially one who fears it may be too late to get started. It is never too late. This workshop includes tips on how to crush writers’ block, as well as practical information on sources for publication and expanding resources.
Lenore Rowntree’s See You Later Maybe Never will be released in 2022 (Now or Never Publishing). This short story collection is an unsentimental and sometimes humorous look at aging and relationships. Other recent books include Cluck, a novel, finalist for the Great BC Novel prize (Thistledown Press), and as editor & contributor, Hidden Lives: true stories from people who live with mental illness (Touchwood Editions/ Brindle & Glass).
