Al Rempel: Retorquing Your Poetry: How to Give Your Poems Power: When should you break a line? What word will you land on? Begin with? In this session we will be exploring what gives force to poems. We'll discuss some different types of torque and look at where they give energy to a poem. Participants will be invited to bring their own poems to work on.
Participants will be given opportunity to buy books at a discount, participate in the open mic the following weekend, and create and workshop their own poems during the workshop
Participants should email in order to receive the Zoom link. The time includes a 20 minute chat ahead of the workshop to break the ice and for people to meet one another.
There will be an open mic and reading on the second Sunday, Nov. 22. Workshop participants have first dibs. 1 poem/3 minutes max.
