Join us Thursday October 7th for an hour with Kelsie Kilawna of IndigiNews. Kelsie has been working on a resource for news media to ensure Trauma-informed Reporting. This is essential in times when there is an abundance of traumatic news being reported on.

Doors Open at 6:45 and the event will start around 7.

She will join us for an hour to share her resources and culturally sensitive practices for writers. Whether you write for media or otherwise these practices are crucial and invaluable going forward. We are honored and thrilled that she is available to speak with us.

Kelsie is a Syilx and Secwepemc storyteller for IndigiNews and CBC Radio. Prior to that, she worked for 15 years with Indigenous youth, children and families throughout the so-called province of B.C. as a trauma-informed, community-informed advocate utilizing various forms of therapeutic communications, guided by her Enowkin ethics as a sqilxw [skay-lugh] woman.
