DESCRIPTION: Typically, we think we’ve finished a manuscript before it is finished. As writers, we are now almost solely responsible for our manuscript going through an in-depth editing process regardless of whether a publishing house takes it or we self-publish. In this workshop, typical indicators that signal us where it is unresolved or losing momentum will be identified. A set of self-editing techniques to finalize your manuscript will also be given. The benefits of hiring a manuscript editor will be discussed as well as questions you pose.
Participants are asked to bring a 3-page writing sample that is part of a connective narrative (e.g. short story or novel).
