DESCRIPTION: As Jerome Stern says in Making Shapely Fiction, like a child in full tantrum mode, when you want attention, make a scene. Scenes are at the heart centre of compelling fiction. An effective scene incorporates character, conflict, and setting as it manifests in dialogue and action. In this workshop, learn how to give a scene momentum and vitality. Come with pen and paper and be prepared to leave after making a scene or two.
