Join Serafina Sammarco as she shares the story of her daughter Isabella -- her inspirational life and death at a young age due to the blood disorder, Thalassemia. After 20 years in the corporate world, Serafina resigned to write her memoir, Isabella’s Journey. Thalassemia is one of the most common genetic blood disorders in the world, though one of the least understood.
Serafina Sammarco is a humanitarian and has spoken about Thalassemia for over 30 years. She is the founder of the Vancouver Thalassemia Society. Her mission is to educate individuals and families affected by this disorder.
Please note that events are reviewed and posted on the calendar as soon as possible. You will not see the event up for at least 48-72 hours.
