Notice of AGM Please note that the AGM will be held on May17th at 6:00 pm in the Richmond Cultural Centre, Performance Hall, 180-7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond, BC.
The special speaker will be famed author of A Better Mother, and CBC personality, Jen Sookfong Lee.
She will be speaking on the role of the author in the 21st century, taking into account things like social media, self-publishing, the decline of books coverage in the media, and the number of entertainment media that we have to compete with. It will not be a lecture but rather a personal talk, one that touches on her experiences.

It should be an interesting presentation touching on timely subject matter.
Please RSVP early so that we can plan on food and supplies.

Now, back to our main presentation…
The Federation of British Columbia Writers is a not-for-profit organization established in 1976 to contribute to a supportive environment for writing in the province.
The volunteer Board of Directors oversees the many committees that help carry out Federation programs, workshops and events throughout the Province. We also produce the online magazine, “Federation of BC Writers Wordworks” and keep members connected through our VOX.

The Federation of British Columbia Writers operates with funds raised from membership dues, fundraising activities, corporate and private sponsorship, and with the support of the Province of British Columbia through the BC Arts Council and the Direct Access Program, which the Federation gratefully acknowledges.
