Sylvia Olson

I received my teaching degree from U of A adding a Creative Writing year at UBC. Currently I am the coordinator of the Kamloops Writers Festival since 2010. Having written thousands of boring report cards during my teaching career, enough pages to rival War and Peace, it was time to write something fun. After being a finalist for The Writers Union of Canada’s Writing for Children Competition in 2010, my destiny was revealed. I am currently writing a children’s novel as well as continuing my work on a memoir. From 2010 – 2012, I served as a regional rep and board member for the FBCW.
