Lucía Terra is a multilingual writer, editor, translator and instructor based in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. Lucía received her B.A. in Social and Cultural Anthropology in Uruguay and later a M.A. in Communication in the United States as part of a Fulbright Scholarship. She eventually relocated to Canada, where she obtained a Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education from the University of British Columbia.
As a child of restless parents, she started traveling at a very young age and took her first steps while in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, in northern Argentina. She hasn’t stopped since! She has lived and traveled in Western Europe, South East Asia, Africa, North and South America. So far, her favorite places in world have been Venezia, the tiny almost-island of Sipadan in the Celebes Sea, and where the sand dunes meet the ocean in northeastern Brazil—there’s something about car-free areas…
Lucía currently splits her time between the Pacific Northwest coast and the Atlantic Southeast coast, where she is writing a book on her travel experiences in South East Asia, a memoir, and another book on how to learn languages.
