Liz McNally was born in England of Irish parents and spent most of her summers in Ireland. Moving to Canada at age 11, she first lived in Ontario and feels most at home on the West Coast; her home since 1972.
Liz’s poetry has been included in a number of chapbooks edited by Patrick Lane and she will be keeping good company with her fellow poets in an anthology published by Oolichan in the fall of 2015.
She currently works with Patrick Lane organizing two of his three annual poetry retreats held in in Lake Cowichan, BC.
Says Liz: I organize two poetry retreats annually with Patrick Lane In Honeymoon Bay, Lake Cowichan BC. They are intimate groups of 19 poets and include 3 ½ days of instruction in a beautiful venue and unprecedented one on one time with one of Canada’s literary treasures.
Liz is also a speech writer and a certified coach.
